Jacob Schmid Finishes Tenth in Roadrunner Invitational

Jacob Schmid (Carney's Point / Pennsville Memorial High School) represented the Salem Cross Country program today in the Roadrunner Invitational at Rowan College of South Jersey (RCSJ)– Gloucester’s Sports Complex.  This is the first time in 512 days that the Mighty Oaks have competed in a Cross Country meet due to COVID restrictions there was no fall cross country season and there are limited meets this Spring with no regional championship.

Schmid’s last meet was the NJCAA Region XIX Cross Country Meet back on October 26, when he finished 31st with a time of 32:37.7. Today, Schmid recorded his first top-ten finish while representing the Mighty Oaks by finishing with a time of 20:10 in the Men’s 5K event, which placed him at tenth.
