Carneys Point, NJ. – The Salem Community College men's soccer team has released its schedule for the upcoming fall 2023 season, which features 16 regular season contests with 9 home matches played at Gino Mistichelli Field at Oldmans Township School.

The Mighty Oaks look to build on what was a very solid 2022 season that saw SCC finish the season with a 7-6 record while qualifying for the Region 19 post season for the second straight season.

Head coach Islam El-Ghazali entering his first season with the program. Director of Athletics Dr. Bob Bunnell is pleased to have the new coach on board, saying "We welcome Islam to our staff and look forward to seeing what he and the team can accomplish this year."

Former head coach Matt Murray posted an outstanding record in his three years at the helm, bringing the Mighty Oaks men's program back into existence after an absence of six years. Under Murray, Salem qualified for the Region 19 playoffs in the last two seasons. Murray has now taken on the challenge of building a women's soccer program, bringing yet another team back from its absence.

The Mighty Oaks open the 2023 campaign with five straight home matches, the first of which will be August 29 at 3:30PM when Middlesex College will travel to Mistichelli Field for both teams' Region 19 opener.
