Mighty Oaks Drop Road Game Against Blue Colts

Salem Community College men's soccer traveled to Edison, NJ on Tuesday, April 13 to take on the Middlesex County College Blue Colts. The Blue Colts scored the game winning goal with three minutes left in regulation to edge the Mighty Oaks 2-1.

The Mighty Oaks were the first on the board after the two Penns Grove HS alumni, Ricardo Castro (Cuernavaca Morelos / Penns Grove HS) and Alejandro Rivera (Penns Grove, NJ / Penns Grove HS), connected for Salem's first goal of the 2021 spring campaign. The Mighty Oaks held the lead through the first 25 minutes of the second half before Middlesex responded with a goal of their own. The game remained tied, 1-1, until the Blue Colts scored the go ahead goal.

The Mighty Oaks will next be in action Friday, April 16, for their home opener at Total Turf Experience against the Union County College Owls.
