Carneys Point. NJ. – The Salem Community College men's basketball team fell in a hard fought contest with the Union County College Owls 62-73. Both Shaquez Coley-Lewis and Dante Brinkley scored in double figures for the Mighty Oaks but fell just short in this back and forth battle.

Coley-Lewis had a strong night offensively shooting a solid 5-6 from the field and 4-5 from beyond the arc totally a team high 14 for the Mighty Oaks.  Brinkley added 13 points and 7 rebounds for SCC.  Taje'e Jordan battle tough all night under the boards with a team high 10 rebounds for Salem.

With the loss Salem moves to 4-10 on the season and will move on to face Bergen County Community College Thursday January 25 on the campus of BCC.  Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00PM
