SCC Defeated in Second Half Comeback

The Mighty Oaks were on the road to RCSJ- Cumberland for their Tuesday evening game, facing off with the Dukes at 6PM. SCC came out out strong going for a 9 point run, with Jaisan Wilmore hitting three consecutive 3's. The Mighty Oaks kept control over the first half, taking their lead to an impressive 35-17 with five minutes remaining in the first half. Salem went into half time holding the lead 39-21.

Cumberland answered back quickly in the second half, going for a 10-0 run to cut the deficit to 6. The Dukes trailed SCC 38-32. Cumberland's efforts in the second half helped them to overcome the 18 point gap. The game finished in a loss for the Mighty Oaks 73-64.

Lamar Woody led scoring for the Mighty Oaks with 23, recording a double-double with 10 rebounds. Troy Johnson also hit double digits with 11 points. 

Salem will begin their four game home stand Saturday 2/1 against Bergen. Tip-off is at noon.
