Mighty Oaks fall to Roadrunners

Salem traveled to Rowan College of South Jersey-Gloucester yesterday, April 27, to take on the Roadrunners. The Mighty Oaks fell to RCSJ-Gloucester for the second time this season, losing 12-0.

Gloucester started the game by scoring four runs through the first five innings before plating eight more in the bottom of the sixth inning to register a 12-0 victory in a run rule-shortened game. The Mighty Oaks left the bases loaded in top of the seventh to end the game.

Trey Matthews (Newark, DE / Newark Charter School) started the game and received the loss,  pitching five innings and allowing six runs.

The loss drops the Mighty Oaks record to 8-13 overall, and 4-6 in Garden State Athletic Conference play.

The Mighty Oaks get right back in action today, April 28, when they travel to Brookdale Community College to take on the Jersey Blues in game one of a two game series.
