Blackwood, NJ. – The Salem Community College softball team swept the Camden County College Cougars 13-6 and 8-4. With the victories the Mighty Oaks move to 12-10 on the season.
Game 1
Chantelle Haskie led the Mighty Oak offense going 2 for 5 with a run scored and drove in 3 runs. Ella Hayes went 1 for 4 with a double an RBI and 2 runs scored. Bella Rappa also had a multi-hit game for Salem going 2 for 3 with a RBI and a runs scored. Jill Robinson picked up the win on the mound going 7 innings allowing no earned runs and striking out 3.
Game 2
Hayes continued to hit for the Mighty Oaks going 2 for 3 with 3 runs scored and a RBI. Callie Rozak continued to hit for power with another home run while going 1 for 4 on the day. Haskie and Rappa continued stayed hot at the plate both going 2 for 4 on the nightcap. Raegan Wilson went the distance on the mound for Salem allowing 4 runs on 8 hits for the victory.
Up next for Salem will be Region 19 rival Mercer County Community College at Watson Field in Pennsville, NJ. First pitch of the double header is scheduled for 12:00PM.
