Mighty Oaks Fall To Atlantic Cape, 5-0

Pedricktown, NJ. – The Salem Community College lost their fifth match of the season to Atlantic Cape Community College, 5-0, Tuesday October 3 at Gino Mistichelli Field.

Salem saw Atlantic Cape get out to an early 1-0 lead just 12 minutes into the match.  ACCC added another goal at the 37 minute mark to take a 2-0 lead into the half.

ACCC continued to add to their lead scoring three more unanswered goals in the second half of the contest to take the match 5-0.

The Mighty Oaks saw Christopher Vergantino, Lucas Saraiva and Gabriel Oliviera each take four shots but were unable to find the back of the net.  Gabriel Medieros took the loss in the net with seven saves in the match.

Salem will be back at home when they will host Ocean County College Thursday October 5 at Gino Mistichelli Field, home of Mighty Oaks soccer.  Kick off for the match will be at 4:00PM.
