Pitman, NJ. - The Salem Community College men's soccer team picked up their first win of the season topping Delaware County Community College 3-0 Thursday September 28 at the Total Turf Experience in Pitman. With the victory the Mighty Oaks move to 1-4 on the season.

The Mighty Oaks got on the board with 27:09 left in the first half with a goal from Vincente Bonola .  It was Bonolas's second goal of the season.  Keeper Gabriel Medieros was solid in the first half shutting out the Phantoms.

The second half saw Salem add two more goals to complete the victory.  Christopher Vergantino and Gabriel Oliveira both scored their first goals of the season. Rafael Carabimeiro completed the shut out for the Mighty Oaks with a solid second half between the pipes.

Salem will be back in action when they face off against the Atlantic Cape Community College Tuesday October 3 at Gino Mistichelli Field at Oldmans Township School, the home of Mighty Oaks soccer. Kick off is at 3:30.
