Jarrell Little Wins GSAC Player of the Week
Carney's Point, NJ – Mighty Oaks Guard Jarrell Little took home the GSAC Player of the Week award, after putting up 42 in the 109-106 double overtime victory against D2 Essex CC. Little has averaged 27 points over his last three games, and has been dialed in from beyond the arc, shooting 13-23 from downtown over that span.
When asked about receiving the honors, Little said, "The award, it's great man. Just rewarding me for all the pain I was putting in over the summertime. It's just great getting that award."
I also asked Little if he changed anything after starting the season 2-19 from three, and he told me, "Just putting up more shots, just keeping confidence, I'm never supposed to lose confidence because I know I'm a good player. Mike Green kept my head in the game and kept telling me to shoot the ball."
Little will look to stay hot as the Mighty Oaks head into a clash on the road against 6-1 Camden County College later tonight, with tip-off slated for 6 p.m.
