Philadelphia, PA. – The Salem Community College men's basketball team dropped a hard fought Region 19 match up with the Community College of Philadelphia, 62-59.  With the loss the Mighty Oaks move to 17-6 on the season.

Salem was led in scoring by Akeem Taylor who score 14 points while shooting 6 for 17 on the night.  Jyheim Spencer had a solid night under the boards pulling down a team high 20 rebounds for the Mighty Oaks while scoring 9 points. Xavier Brewington kicked in 8 points for SCC.

The Mighty Oaks will host Luzerne Community College Saturday February 1 at the DuPont Fieldhouse. Tip off for this match up is scheduled for 12:00PM.
