Men’s Basketball Make It 6 In A Row

Carneys Point,NJ. – Akeem Taylor scored a game and career high 32 points as the Salem Community College men's basketball picked up it's sixth straight win, rolling to a 88-81 victory over Garden State Athletic Conference opponent Passaic County Community College.

Taylor went 13 for 22 from the field while adding 11 rebounds for a double-double to lead the Mighty Oaks to victory in a tightly contested back and forth conference match up.  Jyheim Spencer also had a big day with a double-double pulling down a team high 18 rebounds and scoring 10 points for the Mighty Oaks.  Also scoring in double figures for the Mighty Oaks was Tamir Powell dropping 12 points for Salem in the victory.

The Mighty Oaks will be back in action on January 21 when they travel to Union College in a tough Region 18 match up. Tip off is scheduled for 7:00Pm at Union.
