Men’s Basketball Tops Williamson Trade, 87-81

Carneys Point, NJ. – The Salem Community College men's basketball team won its third straight game as the Mighty Oaks beat the Williamson Trade Mechanics 87-81 in a tightly contested game.  With the win Salem improves to 10-12 on the season.

Taje'e Jordan got off to a hot start and registered his sixth double-double on the season scoring 13 points with 10 boards.  The Mighty Oaks offense was spread out as has been the norm in recent weeks with five Mighty Oaks scoring in double figures.  Niame Scott led the Mighty Oaks with 21 points shooting 5 for 10 from the field.  Ahmodrion Jones was right behind him with a solid 19 points on the night while going 4 for 5 from three point range.  Rounding out the Mighty Oaks scoring in double figures were Shaquez Coley-Lewis with 12 points and Dante Brinkley with 10.  As a team the Salem shot 47% from the field.

Up next for SCC will be Northampton Community College.  The Mighty Oaks will travel to NCC Thursday February 15 with a slated tip off of 7:00PM.
