Chester, PA. – Dajour McKamey and Kye Rawls combined for 28 points as the Salem Community College men's basketball team beat Delaware County Community College 60-46 in Region 19 action Tuesday night.
McKamey finished with 18 points, while Rawls added 10 for the Mighty Oaks, who improved to 7-12 on the season. Salem had a solid night offensively as the scoring was spread throughout the roster.
The Mighty Oaks jumped out to an early lead taking it to the Phantoms offensively. Salem took a commanding lead into the half dominating with a 40-16 lead.
Sophomore forward Myles Haynes played a solid all around game particularly on the boards. Haynes tallied 11 rebound to go along with 9 points, one point short of a double-double. Logan Cook added nine for SCC going 3 for 8 from the three point line.
Head Coach AJ Williams and the Mighty Oaks return to action Tuesday January 31 with a home game against a tough conference opponent in the Jersey Blues of Brookdale Community College at 6:00PM.
