Mighty Oaks Grind Out the Win
Vineland, NJ. – After a ten-day layoff the Salem Community College men's basketball team picked up a hard-fought victory over RCSJ – Cumberland, 76-75. The Mighty Oaks improve to 2-5 on the season with the Region 19 victory.
Salem had a strong offensive night with four players scoring in double figures. The Mighty Oaks were led by freshman guard Dajour McKamey who led all scorers with 27 points on the night. Salem guard Jalen Jenkins had another solid game contributing 19 points in the win. Rounding out those in double figures were freshmen Jehiah Eldridge with 13 and Kye Rawls with 10.
"It was a competitive game that required our guys to be physically and mentally tough through the final horn and I am encouraged with how they handled that," said Mighty Oaks Head Coach AJ Williams. The Might Oaks will be back in action when they face off against the Lancaster Bible College developmental team Thursday December 1 on the campus of LBC. Tip off for the game will be at 7:30PM.
