Mighty Oaks Win Fourth In a Row, Topping Atlantic Cape, 70-69

Mays Landing, NJ.Paris Hickman scored 21 points with 13 rebounds as Salem Community College beat NJCAA Division 3 11th ranked Atlantic Cape Community College 70-69, in a Region 19 thriller.

Myles Haynes continues his dominate play as he tallied his third straight double-double with 15 points and 18 boards. Antonio Campbell returned to the court after injury to score in double figures with 13 on the night.

"I am proud of the focus, heart and teamwork we showed tonight. This win was a total team effort," said Mighty Oaks Head Coach AJ Williams.  "Everyone played their role well tonight to beat a very good Atlantic Cape team".

Salem has now won four in a row and pushed their overall record to 13-7 with a GSAC record of 9-7.  The Mighty Oaks are locked in down the stretch as they make a late season push towards post-season play.

"We will need to stay locked in and prepare for every team on the rest of the schedule the way we did tonight," added Williams.

Next on the schedule for Salem will be the Skylanders from Sussex County Community College.  The Mighty Oaks will travel to SCCC Saturday February 5 with a tip off 12:00 noon.
