Mighty Oaks Outlast Ocean CC

Toms River, NJ. – A late surge from the Salem Community College men's basketball team propelled them to a 71-67 win over GSAC opponent Ocean County College.  The Mighty Oaks trailed most of the contest but clawed its way back into the game and overtaking the Vikings late in the second half. 

Four Mighty Oaks scored in double figures, with Myles Haynes leading the way with 23 points along with 8 boards.  Paris Hickman registered a double-double on the night scoring 21 points with 12 rebounds.  Adding to the scoring for Salem were Chris Evans with 10 and Eric Neal contributing 11.

The Mighty are back in action Thursday January 27 when the travel to Delaware County Community College.  The game will be played on the campus of Penn State-Brandywine with tip off at 8:00PM.
