Carneys Point, NJ. - The Salem Community College baseball team was able to bounce back after a tough weekend to beat Ocean County College in a much needed conference win.  The win makes the Mighty Oaks 8-13 on the season.

The Mighty Oaks got on the board early with a two run blast from sophomore outfielder Nick TomsZach Carlton, who went 1 for 2 with a run scored and an RBi, scored on the Toms two run home run.  Freshman pitcher Ryan Silnik was able to shut out the OCC offense through 5 innings but gave up 3 runs in the 6th to allow Ocean to tie the game.  OCC put 2 more on the board in the 7th inning to take the lead.  Salem rallied in the 8th inning on an RBI single by Victor Friscia, who went 3 for 4 on the night. The game was tied at seven when Freshman Jon Rodiriguez pinch hit and drove in the go ahead run making it 6-5 going into the 9th inning.  John McAllister pitched well in relief to pick up the win with Jon Gambone getting the save.
