Saturday's noon home game specially honored sophomores Maurice Freeman and Troy Johnson. The Mighty Oaks went on a 6 point run to kick things off. The first half was a back and forth battle between SCC and the Skylanders. Sussex held the lead for a seven minute stretch, but Salem regained it going into halftime 35-34.

During the second half, Salem shut down the Sussex Skylanders going for a 20 point run that expanded their lead to 72-48. SCC was pulling away with the win, leaving Sussex trailing by over 30 points for a final score of 93-58.

Five men for the Mighty Oaks were in double digits. Lamar Woody led the team in scoring with 39 points, recording a triple double with 11 assists and 13 rebounds. Robert Whitaker (12), Maurice Freeman (11), Eric Neal (11), and Jaisan Wilmore (11) followed Woody's lead. 

Tamir Williams led the Skylanders with 23 points, followed by Aalim Jones with 12.

The Mighty Oaks will complete against Bergen for their last home game of the season Wednesday, February 12th at 7PM. This team is on a roll, catch them while you can!
