Mighty Oaks Record A Second Loss to the Union Owls

CRANFORD, NJ

The Mighty Oaks were on the road to Cranford, NJ for a rematch with the Union Owls, who they took to double overtime in November. The Owls took control of the game in the first half, going for a 15-2 run against Salem. Going into halftime Union was up 38-19.

The Mighty Oaks chipped away to cut the deficit to 48-32 with 12:30 remaining in the second half. SCC was only out scored by 4 in the second half, but their efforts left them defeated 75-52. Stephon Fauntroy led the team in scoring with 18 points. Lamar Woody recorded an impressive triple double with 10 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists. Maurice Freeman contributed 10 points for the Mighty Oaks. 

Salem will be on the road to RCSJ-Gloucester on Tuesday, January 14th for a 6:00PM tipoff against the Roadrunners.
