Women's Basketball Pick Up Big Win Over The Roadrunners

Carneys Point, NJ. - The Salem Community College women's basketball team picked up a big win topping RCSJ-Gloucester 66-61.  The win keeps the push for the Region 19 post season going and ups the Mighty Oaks record to 11-10 on the season.  

Nyaijah Jackson lead the Mighty Oaks in scoring with 18 points while shooting 6 for 14 from the field.  Also with a big night for Salem was Kathryn Laurence with 17 points who was hot from beyond the three point line shooting 5-7 from beyond the arc.  Sophomore Jakayla Jenkins rounded out the Mighty Oaks scoring on double figures with 11 points for the game.  

The Mighty Oaks finish their season with three straight Region match ups as they continue their push towards a birth in the post season.  Next for SCC will be the Vikings of Mercer County Community College Tuesday February 11.  The Mighty Oaks will travel to MCCC for a 5:00PM tip off.
