DeDomenico and McGlamery set new PRs at Region XIX Meet

NEWARK, DE - NJCAA Region XIX Cross Country Meet

The Mighty Oaks completed their fall 2019 season with the NJCAA Region XIX Cross Country meet at White Clay Creek State Park. The men's race began at 11AM. First to finish for Salem Community College was Jacob Schmid with a time of 32:37.70. Schmid finished in 31st place out of 81 participants. Next to finish for the Mighty Oaks was Andrew DeDomenico in 48th place with a time of 34:23.60. DeDomenico completed his first and final season with SCC at the Region XIX meet, and went out with his personal best time. Mason Elwell completed his first race back from injury, and finished with a time of 37:32.40 in 67th place. 

Freshman Emily McGlamery set her personal best at the meet with a time of 32:24.60 in 27th place. She will return for the Mighty Oaks in the 2020-21 year to compete again. 

The very first season for the return of Salem Community College athletics is officially complete. Congratulations to our cross country athletes who have paved the way for Mighty Oaks competitors to come.
