Mighty Oaks Men Fall To Brookdale

Carneys Point, NJ. – The Salem Community College men's basketball team dropped a 84-76 decision to visiting Brookdale Community College in a Region 19 match up. 

For the Mighty Oaks sophomore guard Joshua Ramos posted a team high 18 points shooting 3 for 9 from three- point range.  Ramos was one of five Mighty Oaks to score in double figures on the day.  Guards Dontarius Jones and Shyheed Taylor were right behind Ramos in scoring both with 13 points.  Xavier Brewington continued a solid freshman campaign scoring 10 with a team high 8 assists.  Tivon Woolford rounded out the Mighty Oaks scoring in double figures with 10 points on the game.  Rodney Shelton and Ahmodrion Jones both had a solid game on the boards tying for a game high 11 rebounds.

With the loss the Mighty Oaks fall to 9-4 on the season.  Up next for Salem will be RCSJ-Cumberland Thursday December 19 with their last competition before the holiday break.  Tip off at the DuPont Fieldhouse is scheduled for 5:00PM.
