WAYNE PA- Salem Community College vs. Valley Forge Military College
The SCC Mighty Oaks opened their season on Nov 7 with an away game at Valley Forge Military College in Wayne, PA. Penns Grove native, Troy Johnson, contributed his first college point and rebound as a sophomore for Salem Community College. Our Mighty Oaks kept the game within 8 points for most of the first half and carried the close race into the second. Around the 6 minute mark in the second half, Valley Forge Military began extending their lead, and the game slipped away from the Mighty Oaks.
The final score of the season opener was 77 Valley Forge Military 55 Salem Community College.
The SCC Mighty Oaks will compete again Saturday Nov 9 against Union County College in their home opener.
