Baseball Drops Two To Northampton

Carneys Point, NJ - The Salem Community College baseball team dropped a double header to the nationally ranked Northampton Community College.  The Spartans of NCC are currently ranked number six in the NJCAA division three polls.  With the two losses the Mighty Oaks drop to 6-8 on the season.

Game 1

Game one saw another big inning caused by mistakes made by the Mighty Oaks. On offense SCC couldn't get much going against a solid NCC pitching staff. Sophomore Nick Ciesielka went 3 for 1 on the day scoring a run. Demetrius DeRamus continued to hit driving in a run with one hit on the day.

Game 2

In game two the Mighty Oaks got a solid pitching effort from Joe Davis who went four innings allowing one run.  At the plate Ciesislka continued his hot day going 2 for 2 with a walk, a run scored and a stolen base.  

Salem will be back in the diamond when they face off against Brookdale Community College Friday March 22 at Brookdale.  First pitch is slated for 3:30.
