Baseball Loses To Northampton

Bethlehem, PA. - One bad inning cost the Salem Community College baseball team big in their loss to the nationally ranked Northampton Community College. NCC is currently ranked number six in the NJCAA Division III polls. With the loss the Mighty Oaks fall to 6-6 on the season.

Ben Foote started the game for Salem holding NCC to one run until the fourth inning when after several Mighty Oak errors Northampton was able to put up seven more runs, only four of which being earned.  Salem was unable to muster much offense on the day scoring a single run on three hits. Demetrius DeRamus went 1 for 3 and stole two bases for SCC.

The remaining two game of the three games series will be played Saturday March 16 when the Mighty Oaks will host Northampton at the Treehouse located at the Carneys Point Rec. Park. First pitch for game one is scheduled for 12:00.
